Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) - Amtrak Boarding Platform

​The Shuttle Platform was designed to mitigate major horizontal gaps between the station and the train entrance, creating a level boarding platform.

When deployed, the Shuttle Platform accounts for variable gaps up to 48 inches, leaving a 6 inch gap between the face of the platform and the side of the car/boarding door/floor

ADA - Ergonomic Bridgeplate

The Downeaster and Disney bridgeplates are uniquely deployed as they are always stored on-board the train and need to be deployed and retrieved from the train/shuttle at each and every stop​.

The dual locking handrail hinges in at all 4 hinge points and are equipped with an ergonomic and glove friendly release mechanism.The handrails also lock in both open and closed positions.

​

The Disney bridgeplate is accompanied by a docking station for easy storage when it is not in use.
